Burj Al Arab Hotel

  Built on reclaimed land, the Burj Al Arab Hotel is one of the world’s most opulent hotels.  Designed in the shape of the sail of a dhow, it contains four swimming pools, nine restaurants and bars, a spa and fitness center, and a helipad. Ski Dubai
 

Ski Dubai is an indoor ski resort opened in November 2005  to  provide access to recreational snow facilities. Its construction presented several unique challenges due to its location in the middle of the desert and the need to create a winter environment in a hot climate. The structure is designed like a large thermos flask, with double-skinned walls and voids between the inner and outer layers to maintain the cold temperature inside.  It contains shops and restaurants, a snow park, a chairlift and five ski slopes of varying difficulty and length, including a beginners' area and the world's first indoor black diamond run. The slopes are covered in real snow, providing an authentic skiing and snowboarding experience.  READ MORE
